Columbia River Compact / Joint State Action Notice

- A hearing to place today resulting in the Compact adopting Non-Indian mainstem Columbia River commercial fisheries and modifing Select Areas commercial fisheries.

7 PM Tuesday October 16 to - 7AM Wednesday October 17 (12 hours)

8-inch minimum mesh size and 9¾-inch maximum mesh size |

The following regulations apply to all fisheries listed above: |
| Sanctuaries: |
Elochoman-A, Abernathy, Cowlitz, Kalama-A, Lewis-A, Sandy and Washougal rivers |
Allowable Sales: |
Salmon only. White sturgeon may not be sold.
|
Other Rules: |
24 hour Quick Reporting Rules will be in effect for Washington buyers.

Select Areas Commercial Fishery
|
|
Sales of white sturgeon in Select Areas will be prohibited effective 12:01 AM, Sunday, October 14, 2007.
|
- A Compact hearing is scheduled via teleconference for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 16, 2007.
