Echo

Echo is a good sized valley bottom lake that offers generally fast fishing for Coastal Cutthroat Trout up to 10 inches in length. The hike up the outlet is a pleasant 7-miles that makes a great early season trip while a lot of the higher lakes are still inaccessible. Later in the season you can cut a couple miles off the trip distance by hiking in from Corral Pass.

Getting here:

Drive east on State Highway 410 from Enumclaw 20.3 miles to Greenwater Road #70. Then left (north) onto Road #70 and follow 9.6 miles to trail sign. Turn right onto Road #7033, the trailhead is on the right side of road after 0.5 mile.
