Black Lake has a year-round open season. This small lake provides angling for planted rainbow trout, with largemouth bass and yellow perch more active as this shallow, weedy lake warms in the summer.
A primitive launch owned by the city is located on the northeast side of the lake. Limited shore access is available along Highway 101. The City of Illwaco Park has a boat dock and restroom facilities. The City also sponsors a "Youth only" fishing derby on Opening Day.
Two-pole fishing is allowed
Shoreline access: Good - Shoreline access is limited around the lake. Dense weed growth provides additional challenges to bank anglers. Two docks provides additional opportunity.
