Easton Ponds

Notice to anglers: Easton Ponds are closed and posted as "No Trespassing" until further notice. WSDOT needed to close the Ponds due to funding constraints. Please check this page for further information to make sure lands are open before heading out for fishing and other recreation.

These three easily accessible gravel-pit ponds are adjacent to I-90 Exit 71 near Easton. Although the ponds are open to fishing year-round, they are usually not stocked with catchable sized rainbow trout until early May as they are being used for coho rearing until then.

Two-pole fishing is allowed

Shoreline access: Good - Good Shoreline access.

Rainbow trout

Fishing success for Rainbow Trout is generally best in the spring when thousands of fish are stocked statewide, but they can be caught year-round in most waters with a little patience and persistence. Success remains high into June and gradually declines as water temperatures increase and fish move offshore to stay cool. Fish that escaped the spring harvest return to the nearshore areas in the fall as waters cool off. Some waters may also be stocked again in the fall further boosting catch rates.
