Oct. 24, 2024: Temporary Closure — Toxic Algae
This access area is closed to all public use due to a toxic algae Danger Warning issued by the Thurston County Public Health & Social Services Department.
Lawrence Lake is open to angling year-round. The lake offers angling opportunity for naturally reproducing largemouth bass, yellow perch, bluegill sunfish, pumpkinseed sunfish, brown bullhead catfish, and stocked channel catfish. Stocked rainbow trout should also provide good fishing. The channel catfish were recently stocked and will be entering the fishery this year.
There is a WDFW access with boat launch and two toilets.
Two-pole fishing is allowed
Shoreline access: Good - Shore access is at the WDFW boat launch, as well as the adjacent undeveloped county park land.
