Waughop Lake is open year-round and offers good harvest opportunity for hatchery rainbow trout. Waughop Lake also supports naturally reproducing populations of largemouth bass, black crappie, yellow perch, and brown bullhead catfish.
No developed boat launch, but small craft can be hand-carried a ways to the lake.
