All Puget Sound shrimp fishing closing for the season

Action: This is a reminder that any remaining Puget Sound shrimp fishing areas that had not been closed earlier in the season are closing on Oct. 15, 2005 and will remain closed until next spring.

Effective dates: Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at 7:30 p.m.

Species affected: All shrimp.

Location: All waters of Puget Sound.

Reason for action: Standard seasonal conservation closure to protect ovigerous (egg bearing) shrimp.

Other information: The Puget Sound shrimp season will reopen next spring.
