November 9, 2007

Action: Allow anglers to retain game fish other than trout in the upper Cowlitz River.

Effective date: 12:01 a.m., Nov. 10, 2007 through May 31, 2008.

Species affected: whitefish and other game fish.

Location: The Cowlitz River from the posted PUD sign on Peters Road upstream to the mouth of the Ohanepecosh River and the Muddy Fork.

Reason for action: This will allow harvest of whitefish and other game fish while continuing to restrict trout harvest on hatchery steelhead.

Information contact: Wolf Dammers, (360) 906-6709.
