Action: Extends fishery below Bonneville and increases daily adult limit of spring chinook below Bonneville.
Effective date: June 7 through June 15, 2018
Species affected: Spring chinook
Location: The mainstem Columbia River from the Tongue Point/Rocky Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam.
Additional information: Daily limit is 6 adipose fin clipped salmonids (chinook, coho, steelhead), up to 2 adults may be retained. Release all wild salmonids. Salmon minimum size: 12 inches.
Open for boat and bank fishing for salmon to the Bonneville Dam deadline.

Location: Tower Island power lines (approximately 6 miles below The Dalles Dam) upstream to Oregon/Washington border plus the Oregon and Washington banks between Bonneville Dam and the Tower Island power lines (except for those waters closed under permanent regulations).

Reason for action: This action provides additional recreational angling opportunity following a fishery update based upon available catch remaining and passage at Bonneville. Staff will continue to monitor the run and fishery, and will make adjustments in-season as necessary.
