Electric motors allowed on a
portion of the Kalama River

Action: Electric motors will be allowed on the Kalama River in Cowlitz County upstream of the Modrow Bridge, effective Jan. 1, 2008.

Effective dates: Jan. 1, 2008 until further notice.

Species affected: All species

Location: Kalama River (Cowlitz County) upstream of the Modrow Bridge.

Reasons for action: Allowing the use of electric motors by all people will especially help those with disabilities, who have problems using oars or need assistance using a motor.
