Halibut fishing to close in Westport Area

Action: The recreational halibut fishery in Marine Area 2 will close May 30
at 11:59 p.m.

Effective dates: May 30, 2005

Species affected: Pacific halibut

Location: Marine Area 2, which extends from Queets River south to Leadbetter Point.

Reasons for action:. The catch quota for Pacific halibut in this area is projected to be taken by the end of the day Monday, May 30.
