October 15, 2024
Action: Raises the adult daily limit to allow additional coho salmon harvest.
Effective dates: Immediately, through Dec. 31, 2024.
Species affected: Coho salmon.
Location: Columbia River from Interstate 182 Bridge at Richland upstream to the Old Hanford Townsite powerline crossing.
Salmon Rules: Daily limit six. Up to two adults including no more than one Chinook may be retained. Minimum size 12 inches. Release all salmon other than coho and Chinook.
Reason for action: Based on in season estimates, coho returns to Ringold Hatchery are sufficient to support an increased daily limit.
Additional information: Chinook that are 24 inches or greater in length and coho that are 20 inches or greater in length are classified as adults. Anglers can use two poles when fishing for salmon with the Two-Pole Endorsement. Night closure in effect for salmon.
