Hatchery steelhead limit increase on the Cascade River

December 10, 2014

Action: Increase hatchery steelhead daily limit to three fish on part of the Cascade River.

Effective dates: Dec 16, 2014 through Feb 15, 2015.

Species affected: Hatchery steelhead

Location: The Cascade River from the Rockport-Cascade Road downstream to the mouth.

Reasons for action: The Marblemount Hatchery will not be taking broodstock in the 2014-15 season, therefore all hatchery steelhead returning are harvestable. Increasing the steelhead daily limit in the Cascade River will provide additional angling opportunity.

Other information: All other rules remain in effect. Please see rules as listed in the 2014-15 sport fishing pamphlet.
