Action: Longs pond will be closed to fishing for one day prior to the Lacey Family Fish-In youth fishing event, which begins at 8:00 a.m., Saturday April 23, 2005.


Effective dates: 12:01 a.m. Friday, April 22 until 8:00 a.m. Saturday April 23, 2005.

Species affected: All species

Location: Longs Pond is located at Woodland Creek Community Park, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE, in Lacey.


Reasons for action: Allow staff to set nets and stock fish for April 23 activities and ensure a successful Family Fish-In event.


Other information: Longs Pond is open for fishing only to juvenile anglers, 14 years of age or younger. Pre-registration is required for participation in the April 23 Family Fish-In. For information about the event, contact Lacey Parks & Recreation, (360) 491-0857.
