Action: Long's Pond will be closed to fishing for one day prior to the Lacey Kids' Klassic Family Fish-in youth fishing event, which begins at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19.

Effective date: 12:01 a.m. Friday, April 18 until 8:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008.

Species affected: All species

Location: Long's Pond is located at Woodland Creek Community Park, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE, in Lacey, Wash.

Reason for action: This rule change will allow staff to set nets and stock fish for April 19 activities and ensure a successful Family Fish-In event.

Other information: Long's Pond is open for fishing to juvenile anglers only, 14 years of age or younger. Pre-registration is required for participation in the April 19 Family Fish-In. Juvenile anglers are not required to have a fishing license. For information about the event, contact Lacey Parks & Recreation, 360-491-0857.
