Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco) recreational salmon season to close

Action: Closes salmon fishing in Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco) for the season.

Effective date: Aug. 12, 2024, until further notice.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco).

Rules: Salmon fishing is closed. It is illegal to possess salmon onboard a vessel in Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco), including in transit.

Additional information: The Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco) catch quota for coho (39,900) is projected to be attained by Aug. 11, necessitating this closure.
