Action: Opens coastal salmon fisheries

Location: Marine Area 1

Rules:

June 19 through 26: Daily limit 1. Chinook - min. size 22". Other salmon species – no min. size. Release all coho.

June 27 through Sept. 15: Daily limit 2, no more than 1 of which may be a Chinook. Chinook - min. size 22". Coho - min. size 16". Release wild coho.

Additional information: The catch quotas for recreational fisheries North of Cape Falcon in 2021 are 27,250 Chinook and 70,000 marked coho, with an Area 1 Chinook guideline of 7,200 and Area 1 coho quota of 42,400.

Columbia River Control Zone is closed to fishing for salmon, except open to fishing from the north jetty when adjacent waters north of the Control Zone are open to fishing for salmon or the Buoy 10 fishery is open to fishing from salmon.

Marine Areas 1 through 4 are scheduled to close Sept. 15, but areas could close earlier if quotas are met.
