Rules:
- June 22-June 29: Closed. It is illegal to possess salmon onboard a vessel, including in transit.
June 30-July 13: Open Sundays through Thursdays only. Daily limit 2 including no more than 1 Chinook. Chinook min. size 22”. Coho min. size 16”. Other salmon species no min. size. Release wild coho.
It is illegal to possess salmon onboard a vessel on days when closed to salmon fishing (Fridays and Saturdays), including in transit.
- July 14-Sept. 15: Open daily. Daily limit 2 including no more than 1 Chinook. Chinook min. size 22”. Coho min. size 16”. Other salmon species no min. size. Release wild coho.
Additional information: Willapa Bay (Area 2-1) is open under the same rules as Area 2 from June 22 through July 31. Rules for Area 2-1 change in August, and details will be listed in the Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet. The 2024/25 edition of the pamphlet will be available in late June.
Grays Harbor Control Zone and that portion of Grays Harbor (Area 2-2) west of the Buoy 13 line is open June 22 through August 11 under the same rules as Area 2 and will close beginning August 12.
The catch quotas for recreational fisheries North of Cape Falcon in 2024 are 41,000 Chinook and 79,800 marked coho, with an Area 2 Chinook guideline of 17,430 and Area 2 coho quota of 29,530.
Marine Area 1 is scheduled to close September 30, Marine Areas 2 through 4 are scheduled to close September 15, but areas could close earlier if quotas are met.
