North Fork Nooksack River fishery update

Action: Returns all sections of North Fork Nooksack River to permanent rules as listed in the 2022-23 Washington Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet.

Effective dates: Feb. 4 through Feb. 15, 2023

Species affected: Game fish.

Locations: Nooksack River, North Fork 

Reason for action: Kendall Hatchery eggtake goals for hatchery steelhead have been reached, allowing opportunity for recreational anglers to access surplus hatchery steelhead that remain in the system.

Nooksack River mainstem and all other forks are currently closed to all fishing under permanent rules.
