North Fork Stillaguamish River re-opens to fishing Jan. 16

Action: Section of the North Fork Stillaguamish River previously closed will re-open to fishing.

Effective dates: Jan 16, 2010.

Species affected: All game fish.

Location: North Fork Stillaguamish River, downstream from the Whitehorse Bridge approximately 4 river miles to the French Creek confluence. The Whitehorse Hatchery effluent and Fortson Hole area of the North Fork Stillaguamish will also reopen.

Reasons for action: The Whitehorse Hatchery facility will meet broodstock goals for winter steelhead.
