Pine Lake (King County) will not open on April 24th
For lowland lake trout fishing

Action: Extend closure at Pine Lake

Dates: 12:01 a.m. April 24, 2004 until further notice

Species affected: All game fish species

Location: Pine Lake (King County), near the City of Sammamish

Reason for action: City of Sammamish has closed public access at Pine Lake while construction projects to renovate park facilities are in progress. Park renovations will not be completed prior to the traditional lowland lakes opening day scheduled for Saturday, April 24th.

Other Information: The completion date for the park renovation is projected for the end of May, but an exact date is not known at this time. It is anticipated that Pine Lake will open in early June (6/5/2004 or 6/12/2004). When public access at Pine Lake is restored, a new regulation that prohibits internal combustion engines on the lake will be in effect. This new boater regulation was implemented by the City of Sammamish, effective January 2004.
