Razor clam digs approved Sept. 29 through Oct. 2

Action:  Opens Razor clam seasons.

Effective dates:  Sept. 29 through Oct. 2, 2023.

Species affected:  Razor Clams

Specific low tides for openers (digging allowed from 12:00 P.M. (noon) through 11:59 P.M.)

  • Sept. 29, Friday; 7:18 p.m.; -0.4 feet; Long Beach, Twin Harbors
  • Sept. 30, Saturday; 8:04 p.m.; -0.9 feet; Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis
  • Oct. 1, Sunday, 8:49 p.m.; -1.0 feet; Long Beach, Twin Harbors
  • Oct. 2, Monday, 9:36 p.m.; -0.9 feet; Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis

Locations:  

Long Beach, which extends from the Columbia River to Leadbetter Point.

Twin Harbors Beach, which extends from Cape Shoalwater to the south jetty at the mouth of Grays Harbor.

Copalis Beach, which extends from the Grays Harbor north jetty to the Copalis River, and includes Ocean Shores, Oyhut, Ocean City and Copalis areas.

Reason for action:  Harvestable numbers of razor clams are available. Toxin levels are safe on these beaches.
