Recreational crab fishing to close December 19
in Marine Areas 4 (eastern portion) and 5


Action: Recreational crab fishing will close in Marine Areas 4 (east of the Bonilla Tatoosh line) and 5. This closure will include Dungeness and red rock crab, and all harvest methods.

Effective date: The recreational crab fishery will close in the areas listed above at 4 p.m. December 19, 2004.

Species affected: Dungeness and red rock crab.

Location: All waters of Marine Areas 4 (east of the Bonilla Tatoosh line) and 5.

Reason for action: Based on catch record card surveys, sport harvest will have reached or exceeded the recreational crab harvest allocations in these areas by this date.
