Recreational crab fishing will close in Marine Area 13

Action: Recreational crab fishing will close in Marine Area 13. This closure includes all gear types.

Effective dates: The recreational crab fishery will close in Marine Area 13 at 6:00 p.m. on March 31, 2005.

Species affected: Dungeness and red rock crab

Location: All waters of Marine Area 13

Reason for Action: Crab in Marine Area 13 are entering the softshell period. In addition, current catch rates are very low.

Other information: With this closure, all areas of Puget Sound will be closed to the recreational crab fishery, until further notice.
These areas are all waters of Marine Area 4 (east of the Bonille Tatoosh line) Areas 5, 6, 7, 8-1, 8-2, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
