Recreational shrimp fishing closing
in Marine Areas 8-1 and 8-2

Action: Recreational shrimp fishing will close 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in all waters of Marine Areas 8-1 and 8-2, which include the Mukilteo, Everett and Saratoga Passage shrimp fishing grounds.

Effective date: Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.

Species affected: All shrimp.

Location: Marine Areas 8-1 and 8-2.

Reason for action: The recreational spot shrimp quota will be reached in these areas.

Other information: Marine Area 12 (Hood Canal) will likely remain open on Saturday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 14. Marine Areas 9, 10 and 11 are closed.
