Reminder all Puget Sound shrimp fishing now closed for season

Action: This is a reminder that any remaining Puget Sound shrimp fishing areas that had not been closed earlier in the season are now closed until next spring.

Effective date: Immediately

Species affected: All shrimp species.

Location: All waters of Puget Sound.

Reason for action: Standard seasonal conservation closure to protect ovigerous (egg bearing) shrimp.

Other information: The general Puget Sound shrimp season (outside of the Shrimp Districts) will reopen on the third Saturday in April next year.
