Retention of sockeye allowed beginning July 24 on Columbia River upstream of Priest Rapids Dam
and the Okanogan River from mouth to highway 97 bridge
Immediately upstream of mouth


Action: Allow the retention of sockeye as part of the salmon daily limit.

Effective Date: July 24 through October 15, 2004.

Species affected: Sockeye

Location: 1. Columbia River from Priest Rapids Dam to Chief Joseph Dam
within areas currently open for salmon.
2. Okanogan River from mouth to highway 97 bridge immediately
upstream of mouth.

Reason for action: The return of sockeye is strong enough to allow recreational harvest opportunity.

Other information: Daily limit of 6 salmon. No more than 2 adults may be retained.
Release coho.
