Salmon fishery extended in upper Chehalis River

Actions: Extension of recreational salmon fishing season in upper Chehalis River.

Effective Date: February 1, 2003 through February 28, 2003.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Chehalis River from the Porter Bridge to High Bridge on Weyerhaeuser 1000 Line, approximately 400 yards downstream from Rogers Creek.

Reason for action: The intended rule change was omitted during publication of the 2002-03 regulations pamphlet.

Other information: The salmon daily limit is 6 salmon, including no more than 2 adults. Release wild adult coho and adult chinook. Minimum size is 12 inches. The Chehalis River downstream of the Porter Bridge remains closed to salmon fishing.
