Sarge Hubbard Park Pond temporarily closed to fishing
prior to 'Fishing Kids' youth fishing clinic
Action: Sarge Hubbard Park Pond will be closed to fishing for one day to protect catchable trout stocked specifically for the "Fishing Kids" youth fishing clinic which begins at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 17. The daily limit for trout is reduced to three fish on May 17 only.
Effective dates: 8 a.m. Friday, May 16 until 9 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2003
Species affected: All Species
Location: Sarge Hubbard Park located in the Yakima Greenway near the Greenway Auto Mall off of Yakima Avenue in Yakima.
Reason for action: Eliminate premature harvest of catchable trout that will be stocked on May 16 for the "Fishing Kids" event.
Other information: Sarge Hubbard Park Pond is open to fishing only to juvenile and disabled anglers. Juveniles must be 14 years of age or younger. All disabled anglers must possess a WDFW disability fishing license as described on page 12 in the 2002-03 sport fishing rules pamphlet.
