Sport clam season opened at Belfair State Park

Action: Opens sport clam season.

Effective date: Immediately through August 31, 2014.

Species affected: All clams.

Location: Belfair State Park. This beach is located in Mason County on Hood Canal.

Reason for action: Surveys indicate that the clam population on this beach can support a much longer season in 2014. Oyster season remains open year-round, including the newly health-certified area.
