Sport sturgeon retention prohibited in the John Day Pool

Action: Retention of recreationally caught white sturgeon is prohibited.

Effective Dates: Feb. 12, 2018

Species affected: White sturgeon

Locations: John Day Pool and tributaries

Reason for action: Harvest guidelines are expected to be reached.

Other information: Catch and release continues to be allowed in John Day Pool.
