Trout limits removed and season extended in West Medical Lake

Action: Removes daily limit for trout, extends trout season, closes other gamefish. 

Effective date: Immediately, through Oct. 13, 2024.

Species affected: Trout and other gamefish.

Location: West Medical Lake (Spokane County).

Rules: Open to fishing for trout only. No daily limit. No minimum size. All other fish species must be released.

Reason for action: West Medical Lake is scheduled to be treated with the piscicide rotenone for fish management purposes.

Additional information: Closed to fishing for all species Oct. 14, 2024, until further notice.
