The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is working on developing a new commercial licensing system.

The current system requires license applications and payments to be mailed or brought into the WDFW licensing commercial division office at the Natural Resources Building in Olympia. The new system will allow our more than 4,000 commercial license customers to efficiently and securely submit their applications and payments online.

Work on the new system began in July 2024 and is expected to be completed by summer 2025.

  • This page will include the new system timeline. Each month, WDFW plans to release 10 to 15 types of licenses in the system for testing to ensure that the application, payment, and licensing process work correctly.
  • As commercial customers, you are invited to participate in testing the new system. If you are interested in testing the new system, please let us know by emailing Commercial.Sales@dfw.wa.gov. This page will include information for those participating in testing.
  • As we get closer to the completion of the new system, this page will include instructions on setting up an online account, the online application process, and the online payment process.

Please email Commercial.Sales@dfw.wa.gov if you have any questions or feedback about the new Commercial Licensing System.
