Harvest profile

There is good digging for butter clams, Manilas and varnish clams in the gravel to the west of the launching ramp. Varnish and Manilas tend to occur higher on the beach, while butter clams occur in good numbers at lower tidal elevations in the gravel area next to the ramp. Manilas can also be found in the rockier ground on the point as the beach wraps around the headland to the west. Varnish clams are abundant in the sand on the east side of the launching ramp. Oysters are not expected to be common at this location.
