The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife would like to express thanks to the Wolf Advisory Group (WAG), the Fish and Wildlife's Commission's Wolf Committee members, and the public that provided comments on the draft Wolf-Livestock Interaction Protocol (released on May 22). The Department truly appreciates your perspectives, ideas, and concerns. Department staff meticulously considered all of the input received and attempted to incorporate many of the suggestions or capture the intent. The second draft version is now available on the WAG page for public review (PDF) prior to the June 27-28 WAG meeting in Ellensburg. As discussed on the May 24 WAG conference call, in this version staff also added some minor non-substantive edits to improve readability and correct out-of-date information.
This draft is the primary item for discussion at our upcoming WAG meeting on June 27 and 28 (PDF).
