The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) offers free training on the assessment procedures described in the WDFW Fish Passage Inventory, Assessment, and Prioritization Manual.
Our two-day training includes:
- Course one: Inventory and Assessment—learn how to properly collect data and evaluate culverts, dams and fishways.
- Course two: Habitat Survey—learn how to prioritize fish passage barriers for correction.
To be notified of future classes, please send an email with your name, email address, and organization to FishPassageTraining@dfw.wa.gov. If you registered for a fish passage training course and did not receive a confirmation email, please notify WDFW at FishPassageTraining@dfw.wa.gov as soon as possible.
