Vice Chair Douvia called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m.
A. Lands Transaction - Proposed Release of Covenant, Spaight Creek Ponds, King County- Decision:
The Commission considered the release of a reversionary clause in a deed granted by the Department in 2004 in King County. Presented by Dan Budd, Real Estate Section Manager, Wildlife Program.
Chair Wecker moved, seconded by Commissioner Perry that the Commission find that the land transaction is consistent with public interest and approve the proposed land transaction as presented. The motion carried unanimously.
B. Adoption of Round 2 Technical Repeals and Amendments – Decision:
Joanna Eide, Administrative Regulations Analyst, Enforcement Program, briefed the Commission on the current WAC overhaul and requested approval of technical amendments for the following WACs.
WAC 220-56-129 Unclassified freshwater invertebrates and fish
WAC 232-13-020 Declaration of purpose – Department lands
WAC 220-76-130 Aquaculture facility inspection authority –Marine finfish aquaculture
WAC 220-77-081 Aquaculture facility inspection authority -- Generally
Repeal:
WAC 220-16-230 Geographical definitions – Outside Initiative 77 line
WAC 220-16-235 Geographical definitions – Inside Initiative 77 line
WAC 220-16-275 Geographical definitions – Village Point
WAC 220-16-280 Geographical definitions – Clam & oyster districts
WAC 220-130-010 Purpose
WAC 232-13-010 Introduction
Chair Wecker moved, seconded by Commissioner Schmitten to adopt the changes to WAC 220-56-129, 220-76-130, 220-77-081, and 232-13-020, and the repeal of WAC 220-16-230, 220-16-235, 220-16-275, 220-16-280, 220-130-010, and 232-13-010, as proposed. The motion carried unanimously.
C. Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities – Decision:
The Commission considered the Wildlife Committee’s recommendation to appoint a candidate to the Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities for Region 3.
Commissioner Perry moved, seconded by Commissioner Schmitten to appoint Reno Pellegrini to the Region 3 position. The motion carried unanimously.
D. Minutes for Approval - Decision:
The Commission considered approval of the following meeting minutes:

May 4, 2012 conference call
Chair Wecker moved, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter to approve the minutes from May 4, 2012 conference call as presented. The motion carried unanimously.
E. General Discussion: (Occurred previous to item C)
Commissioners and the Director discussed recent activities and items of interest.
